Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo from Sept. 7 through Sept. 19, 2012.

Arrests:

A 21-year-old Plymouth man, and a 19-year-old Maple Grove man were arrested for disorderly conduct and minor consumption on Sept. 8 on the 300 block of Central Ave. Both males were booked at the Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested a 27-year-old Bethel man on Sept. 9 for disorderly conduct on the 300 block of Central Ave. The suspect was booked Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested a 26-year-old female from Maple Grove for driving after suspension. The suspect was released with a citation and her vehicle was impounded.

A 58-year-old Fridley man was arrested by Osseo Police on Sept. 15 on County Road 81 for driving after cancellation inimical to public safety, misuse of license plates and no proof of insurance. The suspect was booked at the Hennepin County Jail and his vehicle was also impounded.

A 25-year-old New Hope man was arrested on Sept. 16 on the 100 block of Central Ave. for driving a vehicle without insurance. He was released with a citation and his vehicle was impounded.

Incidents:

Osseo Police observed two vehicles that were racing each other on the 100 block of Second Ave. N.E. on Sept. 7. Both vehicles were pulled over and issued citations for reckless driving.

Osseo Police responded to a possible simple assault on Sept. 8 on the 300 block of Central Ave. All parties involved declined criminal charges.

Osseo Police responded to an audible intrusion alarm at a business on the 8600 block of Jefferson Hwy. on Sept. 8. The alarm was found to be set off by accident. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to a possible fight involving several juveniles on the 300 block of Sixth Ave. N.E. on Sept. 8. Police were unable to locate any persons involved. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police were dispatched to a loud party on the 500 block of Fifth Ave. N.E. on Sept. 8. Police advised the party goes keep the noise down. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police took an auto theft report on Sept. 9 from the 100 block of Fourth Street N.W. The vehicle was recovered several hours later in Anoka County. There are no suspects. The case is under investigation.

Osseo Police responded to a verbal dispute on Sept. 9 on the 200 block of Seventh Ave. S.E. The situation was mediated by Osseo Police and no charges are pending.

Osseo Police responded to a verbal dispute on Sept. 11 on the 200 block of Seventh Ave. N.E. The situation was mediated by Osseo Police and no charges are pending.

While doing routine checks of business, Osseo Police found an unsecured door to a vacant building on the 100 block of Central Ave. on Sept. 11. The building was searched and no problems were found. The building was secured.

Osseo Police responded to the 600 block of Second Ave. N.E. on Sept. 12 for a dispute between a landlord and renter. Police were able to mediate the incident and no crime was committed. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to a burglary report on the 8700 block of Jefferson Hwy. on Sept. 13. Several storage lockers had their locks cut off and items were missing. The case is currently under investigation by Osseo Police, Hennepin County Sheriff Crime Lab Unit, and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detectives.

Osseo Police responded to a report of an open door to a closed business on the 500 block of Central Ave. on Sept. 15. The owner of the building was contacted and the building was secured.

Osseo Police responded to a verbal dispute on the 400 block of Fifth Ave. N.E. on Sept. 16. The situation was mediated and no charges are pending.

Medicals:

Osseo Police responded to the 300 block of Central Ave. on Sept. 9 for a 55-year-old male that fell down and hit his head. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbisdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to the 400 block of Fifth Ave. N.E. on Sept. 9 for a 58-year-old female with a twisted ankle. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to the 50 block of Sixth Street N.E. on Sept. 10 for an 85-year-old male feeling weak and unable to stand. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Maple Grove by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to the 400 block of Fifth Ave. N.E. on Sept. 12 for a 57-year-old female feeling ill. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Maple Grove by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to the 300 block of Central Ave. on Sept. 12 for a 60-year-old male having a seizure. He was transported to the VA Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to the 50 block of Sixth Street N.W. on Sept. 16 for a 73-year-old male having trouble breathing. He was given oxygen and transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to the 500 block of Second Street S.E. on Sept. 17 for a 78-year-old female that was bleeding and was unconscious. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to the 100 block of Regan Lane on Sept. 19  for an  84-year-old female that had fallen down and hit her head. She was transported to Mercy Hospital by North Ambulance.

Accidents:

Osseo Police responded to a two-car injury accident at County Road 81 and First Ave. N.E. on Sept. 8. One victim was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance for a sore back and neck. Both drivers exchanged information and both vehicles were towed. A state accident report was filed. There are no criminal charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to a one-car property damage accident at Seventh Street N.E. and Sixth Ave. N.E. The driver of the vehicle over corrected and struck a road sign. A state accident report was taken. There are no criminal charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to a one-car personal injury accident on the 8600 block of Jefferson Hwy. on Sept. 19. The driver of the vehicle experienced a medical emergency, which caused the vehicle to collide with a structure. The patient was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A state accident report was filed.
