The following public safety summary information from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit is provided to residents as a public service. These highlights from Sept. 10 to Sept. 17, 2012, do not reflect all incidents handled or investigated by the HCSO during this time period.
In addition to the law enforcement services it provides throughout the county, the HCSO provides primary patrol services for the communities of Hassan Township, Greenfield, Medicine Lake and Fort Snelling, as well as the Hennepin County portions of Hanover and Rockford.
On Sept. 14, deputies responded to the area of the 6300 block of County Road 10 for report of an open fire hydrant with water pouring out. Deputy notified the Fire Department, when they arrived he spoke with the Fire Chief who stated they have been having problems with tampering lately. Deputies will be doing extra patrol in the area. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is investigating the incident.
On Sept. 16, deputies responded to an address on the 8900 block of Vernon Street for a damage to property report. The homeowner reports damage was done to his mailbox and his neighbors. Estimated loss is $250. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is investigating the incident.
During the week of Sept. 10 to Sept. 17, 2012. Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies also issued or provided: nine citations, two motorist assists and two personal injury accidents.
