During their Sept. 10 council meeting the Champlin City Council proclaimed Sept. 23-29 Minnesota Women of Today week in Champlin. The proclamation recognizes the Champlin Women of Today for promoting community service through Adopt-a-Highway project, Santa’s Helpers program, fundraisers, craft fairs and donations to the schools, police, fire and library.

Women of Today is a voluntary, nonprofit, community service organization.  The group focuses on service to the community, personal and professional growth, and fellowship opportunities.  The Champlin chapter meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Champlin Community Center and invites all interested men and women 18 years of age and over to attend.  For further information, contact Jill Kirschner at 612-760-4544 or visit www.champlinwt.org
