A conversation on climate change

The public can hear experts talk about global warming, climate change and consequences Thursday, Sept. 27 at Champlin Park High School, 6025 109th Ave. N., Champlin.

Meteorologist Paul Douglas will host and moderate the evening of informational presentations and discussions. The event is free to the public.

A social period starts at 6:30 p.m. so the public can talk with local legislators and candidates for public office. Presentations will begin at 7 p.m.

Speakers will include Dr. Lee Frelich of the University of Minnesota and Dr. John Abraham of the University of St. Thomas. After the presentations will be a question-and-answer period.

The Brooklyn Park-based Breckenridge Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America is sponsoring the event, along with partner organizations.
