Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo from Aug. 24 through Sept. 6, 2012.

Arrests:

Osseo Police arrested a 32-year-old Crystal man on Aug. 26 on the 300 block of County Road 81 for driving after cancellation inimical to public safety. He was booked at the Hennepin County Jail and his vehicle was impounded.

Osseo Police arrested a 39-year-old Maple Grove man on Aug. 27 for driving after cancellation and careless driving. He was released with a citation and his vehicle was left legally parked.

Osseo Police arrested a 20-year-old Champlin man on Aug. 28 on the 200 block of County Road 81 for a misdemeanor Hennepin County warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested a 36-year-old Brooklyn Park man on Aug. 30 at County Road 81 and Central Ave. on an outstanding Monroe County Florida warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested a 25-year-old Chisago man and a 20-year-old North Branch man on Aug. 30 on County Road 81 and Central Ave. for possession of illegal narcotics and an outstanding warrant. Both men were booked at the Hennepin County Jail. The case is currently under investigation by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s narcotics investigators.

Osseo Police arrested a 34-year-old Apple Valley man on Sept. 1 on the 400 block of County Road 81 for careless driving, running a stop sign and no proof of insurance. He was released with a citation and his vehicle was impounded.

Osseo Police arrested a 33-year-old Minneapolis man on Sept. 3 on 85th Ave. at Hwy. 169 for driving after cancellation inimical to public safety and several warrants from Hennepin and Anoka County. He was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Hennepin County Jail. His vehicle was also impounded.

Osseo Police arrested 32-year-old Rogers women on Sept. 5 on the 400 block of County Road 81 for driving after suspension and no insurance. She was released with a citation and his vehicle was impounded.

Incidents:

Osseo Police were dispatched to a report of a male lurking on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive on Aug. 24. Police located the suspect who told he was locked out of his apartment. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police located an intoxicated male in the 100 block of Seventh Street N.E. on Aug. 25 that was unable to care for himself. The subject tested a .248 on a preliminary breath test. He was transported to Main Detox in Minneapolis for his safety. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to a welfare check at a business on the 100 block of Central Ave. on Aug. 27. Police made contact with the 22-year-old female subject that was acting strange. She was transported to Fairview Riverside Hospital by North Ambulance for possible mental health issues and alcohol intoxication. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to a gasoline drive off from the 100 block of Central Ave. on Aug. 27. Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle at the address of the registered owner. The vehicle owner returned and paid for the fuel. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to a noise complaint on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive on Aug. 27. Contact was made with the violator and a verbal warning was issued. There are no charges pending.

A bicycle was reported stolen on the 300 block of Second Ave. N.W. on Aug. 30. The victim told police he locked the bicycle up to the bike rack and when he returned it was missing. There are no suspects. A theft report was filed.

Osseo Police located two unsecured doors of closed businesses on Central Ave. on Sept. 5. Building searches were done and no problems were found. Key holders were notified to secure the business.

Medicals:

Osseo Police responded to a report of an 87-year-old male having trouble breathing on Aug. 24. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a report of a 78-year-old female having a possible heart attack on the 400 block of Fifth Ave. N.E. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a report of a 95-year-old female having severe pain on Aug. 27. She was stabilized and was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a medical alarm on the 50 block of Sixth Street N.E. on Aug. 27. The 85-year-old female patient was complaining of lower back and rib pain. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a report of an 81-year-old male having a possible heart attack on the 300 block of Fourth Ave. N.E. on Aug. 29. The man was transported to Mercy Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a report of an 82-year-old female having difficulty breathing on Aug. 30th on the 500 block of a Second Street S.E. She was provided oxygen and transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a report of a 58-year-old man having sever back pain on the 200 block of Third Ave. S.E. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

A 62-year-old male walked to the Osseo Police Department on Sept. 5 and advised that he fell down the stairs at home and was in unbearable pain. The male was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a possible stroke on the 100 block of Regan Lane on Sept. 5. The 85-year-old patient was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Accidents:

Osseo Police responded to a property damage hit and run accident on the 400 block of County Road 81 on Aug. 28. A state accident report was filed.
