Over the past six girls tennis seasons, Delano won every league title but would have loved a higher section seeding.
The trouble was beating some of the top teams in the section and state when falling to the likes of Eden Prairie or Minnetonka in non-conference play.
That may change after the Tigers dominated section rival Eden Prairie 6-1 last week, improving chances for a high seed.
The undefeated Tigers won three singles matches and all three in doubles.
The top three singles players won with Laura Finn, Kristin Hedke and Laura Parsons. Ginger Valentine lost a tie-breaker at No. 4 singles.
Winning at doubles were Cassy Finn and Allison Sandlass, Katie Vatnsdal and Allison Warne, plus Alex Schreyer and Tayler Hedtke.
The match at Glencoe-Silver Lake was postponed due to rain and will continue Sept. 25.
Delano has home matches set against Mound-Westonka, 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 and against Holy Family Thursday, Sept. 20.
