Arrests

Corcoran Police reported a narcotics arrest Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 9:03 p.m. in the area of Main St. and I-94 eastbound ramp in Rogers. Arrested was a juvenile female, age 17, for possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Officer was working a Safe & Sober detail in the City of Rogers.

Corcoran Police reported a DAR arrest Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 1:39 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 81 and Memorial Dr. in Rogers. Arrested was Jose Luis Velasquez-Aldana, 52, of Osseo for driving after revocation of his driver’s license. The Officer was working a Safe & Sober detail in the City of Rogers.

Corcoran Police reported a DAR arrest Friday, Aug. 31 at 7:45 p.m. in the area of Main St. and 141st St in Rogers. Arrested was James J. Kerkula, 25, of Brooklyn Park for driving after revocation of his driver’s license. The Officer was working a Safe & Sober detail in the City of Rogers.

Property damage

The department reported a property damage accident Monday, Aug. 27 at 9:19 p.m. in the area of 90XX block of Brandywine Rd. The reporting party advised they had a towing company pick up a vehicle and tow it to their residence. When the tow truck was backing the vehicle into the driveway, the tow truck driver backed the vehicle into a boat trailer hitch causing the trailer to move backwards approximately four feet in the driveway. There was no damage to the trailer or boat, but it appeared there was minor damage to the vehicle.

The department reported a property damage accident Tuesday, September 4 at 5:20 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 30. Driver of Vehicle #1 was traveling north on County Rd. 19 and as they were going through the intersection of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 30, Vehicle #2 was turning left onto County Rd. 19 from County Rd. 30. Vehicle #2 struck Vehicle #1. No injuries were reported.

Theft

Theft of items was reported Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 6:45 a.m. in the 209XX block of Hidden Ponds Dr. The reporting party advised an unknown suspect(s) had gone through their unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS unit, an iPod, loose change and a cell phone. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

Theft of items was reported Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 6:51 a.m. in the 213XX block of Meadow Lane. The reporting party stated an unknown suspect(s) had gone through their unlocked truck and took a cell phone, a digital meter and a Makita blue cordless power tool set. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

Theft of items was reported Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 7:34 a.m. in the 209XX block of Hidden Ponds Dr. The reporting party stated an unknown suspect(s) had entered their unlocked vehicle and took a GPS unit. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

Theft of items was reported Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 9:22 a.m. in the 201XX block of Hillside Dr. The reporting party stated that sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) entered their boat and took two rods and reels. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

Theft of items was reported Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 9:36 a.m. in the 201XX block of Hillside Dr. The reporting party reported that both their vehicles had been gone through overnight and two bags of tools were taken from the one vehicle. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

Theft of items was reported Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 11:43 a.m. in the 199XX block of Hillside Dr. The reporting party advised that sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) entered their vehicle and took a DVD player. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

Theft of items was reported Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 2:08 p.m. in the 205XX block of Rush Meadow Lane. The reporting party advised that there were $1,200 worth of tools that were taken from the bed of their truck. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

Theft of unknown items was reported Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 3:22 p.m. in the 200XX block of Hillside Dr. The reporting party advised they left their unlocked vehicle in their driveway overnight. When they went to leave, they noticed that an unknown person(s) had gone through the glove compartment of the vehicle. It does not appear that anything was missing at this time.

Theft of items was reported Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 6:35 p.m. in the 209XX block of Hidden Ponds Dr. The reporting party reported someone took items out of their unlocked vehicle overnight. Items missing are an iPod and a GPS unit. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

Theft of items was reported Thursday, Aug. 30 at 12:58 p.m. in the 205XX block of Rush Meadow Lane. The reporting party advised their vehicle was broken into the night of Aug. 28. The unlocked vehicle was parked in the driveway and an iPod was taken. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.

Theft of funds was reported Thursday, Aug. 30 at 9:00 a.m. in the 96XX block of County Rd. 116. The reporting party advised they purchased a trailer from the suspect on Aug. 15, 2012. The trailer has yet to be delivered. The reporting party advised they have requested their funds back and they have been unable to contact the suspect regarding this. The case has been forwarded to Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.

Medicals

The department responded to a medical emergency Friday, Aug. 31 at 11:11 a.m. in the 99XX block of Sundance Rd. An 84 year old female had fallen the evening before. The patient may have a fractured hip. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Maple Grove.

The department responded to a medical emergency Sunday, September 2 at 1:53 p.m. in the 193XX block of County Rd. 30. A 28 year old female was having chest pains. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

The department responded to a medical emergency Sunday, September 2 at 10:05 p.m. in the 218XX block of Oakdale Dr. A 50 year old female fell approximately 8-10 feet out of a deer stand and landed on concrete. The female is breathing, but not responding. On the Officer’s arrival, the female was conscious and moving her legs. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of tenant/landlord dispute on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 8:23 p.m. in the 73XX block of Rolling Hills Rd. The landlord advised their new renter was living at the property and they had agreed that the rent was to be paid and it needed to be September 1 before the renter could move in. Officers spoke with the renter and advised them of the issue and the renter finally left.

The department responded to a report of an unwanted male on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 11:57 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party advised there was a male in their back yard breaking a cabinet and turning their power on and off. Officers met with the reporting party. Officers found an old, weathered cabinet that was broken and there was no damage with the power being turned on and off. The suspect was unable to be located at that time.

The department responded to a report of suspicious activity on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 8:48 p.m. in the 206XX block of Rush Meadow Lane. The reporting party advised an unknown male stopped by the residence saying they were from a church charity and inquired if they were expecting a package. Officers were unable to locate the male in question.

The department responded to a report of a verbal domestic on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 11:12 p.m. in the 206XX block of Rush Meadow Lane. The reporting party advised they were trying to go to bed and their spouse wanted to stay up and drink. The spouse would not leave the reporting party alone. Both parties admitted to drinking. The parties agreed to separate for the evening.

The department responded to a report of found property on Friday, Aug. 31 at 1:05 p.m. in the 93XX block of Bechtold Rd. The reporting party advised there was a trailer backed into a corn field and they do not know who it belongs to. The Officer arrived and had the vehicle towed from the property. The Officer determined the trailer had been reported stolen out of the City of Rogers.

The department responded to a report of a possible burglary on Friday, Aug. 31 at 3:59 p.m. in the 203XX block of 109th Ave. N. The reporting party advised that when they came home this afternoon, the service door to their garage was unlocked as well as a door going into their basement from the garage. They checked with family members and were advised that no one had gone into the garage or basement. The reporting party advised that the only item that appears to be missing is a pink key they kept by the front door. There are no identifiable suspect(s) at this time.

The department responded to a report of a gas line hit on Saturday, September 1 at 8:00 p.m. in the 198XX block of Jackie Lane. The reporting party advised they hit a gas line while they were digging. CenterPoint Energy arrived and assisted to ensure there was no danger to the surrounding residences. The CenterPoint Energy crew was working to repair the line.

The department responded to a report of a civil issue on Saturday, September 1 at 11:31 p.m. in the 104XX block of Hage Dr. The reporting party advised that the suspect withdrew $100 from their account without permission. The Officer spoke with both parties and was advised that the reporting party and suspect had a signed contract for the purchase of tools. The suspect advised they had called and sent texts to the reporting party that they would be withdrawing the money. The Officer advised the reporting party to contact the suspect to get this resolved.

The department responded to a report of a runaway juvenile on Sunday, September 2 at 7:13 p.m. in the 63XX block of Pioneer Tr. The reporting party stated their 8 year old daughter became upset and ran from the house. Officers from Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and the Medina Police assisted in locating the child. The child was located and did not need medical attention.

The department responded to a report of a disturbance on Monday, September 3 at 2:30 a.m. in the 198XX block of Jackie Lane. The reporting party stated there were loud motorcycles and dirt bikes in the area. Officers arrived and found a homeowner’s guests had loud music on earlier. The music was turned down on the Officer’s arrival. The guests advised they would be quiet for the rest of the night.

The department responded to a report of property damage on Monday, September 3 at 8:38 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party advised they noticed the rear window glass on their vehicle was broken. Officers were unable to determine a source of the damage.

The department responded to a report of litter on Wednesday, September 5 at 11:02 a.m. in the 79XX block of County Rd. 19. The reporting party advised someone dumped some trash in the corn field and behind a pile of rocks. Officers checked the contents and were unable to identify a suspect from the information in the trash.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Wednesday, September 5 at 10:21 p.m. in the 100XX block of County Rd. 116. The reporting party stated there was a vehicle parked just south of their residence on the west side of the road. The Officer advised the vehicle was broken down and will it will be left for the night. The vehicle is not blocking traffic.

The department responded to a report of a loud party in the area on Friday, September 7 at 9:50 p.m. in the 100XX block of Trail Haven Rd. The reporting party advised there was a loud party in the area. Officers located the party and advised the party patrons to turn the music down.

The department responded to a report of a missing child on Sunday, September 9 at 5:37 p.m. in the 105XX block of Bechtold Rd. The reporting party advised their 2 1/2 year old son was missing and last seen in the wooded area. The child was located at 5:45 p.m. safe and sound.
