The Rogers soccer team lost to St. Cloud Tech 2-0 at home Tuesday, Aug. 28, evening, falling to 0-3 in non-conference matches.

“We just had a couple mistakes, but otherwise we played a lot better this game,” said coach Chris Miller. “We are working with a real young team and they are coming along. We need to work more cohesively.”

After a scoreless first half, Tech scored twice in the second half on shots that Royal goalie CJ Rich got his hands on but couldn’t wrap up.

“We had about eight shots on net, but could not capitalize,” said Miller.

Rogers has lost to Park Center 5-0, Champlin Park 5-0 and now Tech 2-0, so they are looking for offense to materialize.

They host St. Michael-Albertville Tuesday, Sept. 4.
