MOMSnext launches in Rockford
A group for mothers, and grandmothers, of school-aged children is starting up in Rockford.
MOMSnext, in conjunction with MOPS International (Mothers of Preschoolers), is a ministry to women with children, or grandchildren, that are school-aged, helping them to prepare and share during this next phase of their lives in a supportive atmosphere. There are many adventures ahead, and this group is designed to bring those with common interests and experiences together to help each other and celebrate the advancements of area youth.
MOMSnext is an accepting place for all mothers of school-age kids to come, just as they are, to experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help and spiritual hope. Monthly meetings are designed to encourage and renew women in the lives of school-aged children, and to help them realize how influential they are to their families.
The first MOMSnext meeting is Friday, Sept. 14, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Our Fathers Lutheran Church (3903 Gilbert Ave, SE).
This is a new group so, for the first few meetings, there will be no childcare. Please keep this mind when joining. Childcare may be arranged if needed..
