Maple Grove Transit has reconfigured two of its routes — 788 and 789.
The routes and ridership of the transit are reviewed with the interest of maintaining the most efficient service levels.
Route 788 service changes will begin Sept. 10. The route was restructured due to low ridership. The segments east of W. Fish Lake Road along Bass Lake Road were eliminated. Service was added to the southwest corner of Maple Grove.
Changes along Route 789 are effective now. Service to the University of Minnesota has now resumed, but with revised trip times. A new afternoon trip has been added at 2:45 p.m. The 5:45 p.m. return trip has been eliminated. The Ridder Arena is the last morning bus stop and no stops are made in downtown Minneapolis. This route also does not operate during the break between fall and spring semester or during the May/summer term.
