Royal soccer touts ‘solid group’

Rogers soccer had a 3-13 mark last season, one year after winning their first conference title. Coach Chris Miller thinks the Royals will be more competitive again this year. Seven starters and four top subs return.

“Last year, we were not real deep,” said Miller. “We are deeper now, and most of our guys played a lot over the summer. It’s a solid group.”

Captains are senior Brady Johnson, who led with seven goals last year and made all-conference, and junior defender Isaac Aanerud, a starter since eighth grade.
