Rick Koring golf tourney set for Sept. 7

Sundance Golf & Bowl will sponsor the Rick Koring Memorial Golf Tournament Friday, Sept. 7 in honor of a former employee who passed away unexpectedly in 2008.

The annual event raises funds for Alzheimer’s in Koring’s name as his mother was diagnosed with the disease in 2010. Additional donations have made it possible to place a water fountain within the north pond on the first hold at Sundance in memory of Koring. This was always something he talked about and hoped to have as a course feature.

Tournament registration begins at noon with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Dinner and a silent auction begin at 6 p.m.

All silent auction proceeds and a portion of entry feel will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Obtain a registration form on the Sundance website at www.sundancegolfbowl.com under the events tab and mail in to 15240 113th Ave. N, Dayton MN 55369, Attention: Rick Koring. You may also email a team roster or dinner RSVP to [email protected] and pay the day of the tournament.
