AHEF to host 53rd annual ‘Putt-ing Kids First’ golf tourney
The public is invited to take part in the 53rd Annual Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation (AHEF) Golf Tournament, “Putt-ting Kids First.” A long-standing tradition, proceeds from the event will fund AHEF grants for early childhood education, talent development, and career and college readiness initiatives for students.
The event is set for Saturday, Sept. 8 at Greenhaven Golf Club in Anoka. A shotgun scramble kicks off the tournament with a bang at 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., with an 8 a.m. tee-off from assigned holes. This is a best-ball scramble. The day is filled with contests, prizes and the chance to win a new car. The registration fee is $75 a person for teams of four. Fees for golf carts, which are available at the course, are not included. The registration includes a 1 p.m. lunch; additional guests are invited for $12 per person.
Anyone with questions can contact the AHEF office at 763-506-1105.
