Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the City of Osseo from July 30 to Aug. 9, 2012.

Arrests:

Osseo Police arrested a 33-year-old Rosemount man on County Road 81 at 85th for no insurance and driving after cancellation, inimical to public safety on July 30. The suspect’s car was impounded and he was booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department.

Osseo Police arrested a 19-year-old Brooklyn Park man on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive on Aug. 2 for gross misdemeanor third degree DWI, gross misdemeanor second degree refusal to submit to a alcohol test, misdemeanor driving after suspension and misdemeanor small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle. The suspect was booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department.

A 35-year-old Brooklyn Park woman was arrested on Aug. 3 on the 7900 block of County Road 81 for driving after revocation and no insurance. Her vehicle was impounded and she was released with a citation.

Osseo Police arrested a 43-year-old Brooklyn Park man on the 300 block of Central Ave. on Aug. 3 after police were called to a report of a property damage accident. Police noticed the suspect appeared to be intoxicated after he backed his vehicle into another vehicle. The suspect was arrested and booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department for gross misdemeanor third degree DWI, and gross misdemeanor third degree alcohol concentration over .08. His vehicle was also impounded.

Osseo Police arrested a 33-year-old Crystal man on Aug. 4 for no Minnesota driver license and no insurance on the 100 block of County Road 81. The suspect was released with a citation and his vehicle was impounded.

Osseo Police stopped a 23-year-old Elk River man for a traffic violation on Aug. 5 and learned he had an outstanding Hennepin County warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested a 21-year-old Brooklyn Park man on the 200 block of County Road 81 on Aug. 7 for no Minnesota driver license. He was released with a citation and his vehicle was impounded.

Osseo Police arrested a 25-year-old man from Dayton on Aug. 8 on 85th and Xylon Ave. for driving after cancellation, inimical to public safety. He was booked at the Hennepin County Jail and his vehicle was impounded.

Osseo Police arrested a 24-year-old Golden Valley man on County Road 81 on Aug. 9 for gross misdemeanor third degree DWI, and gross misdemeanor third degree alcohol concentration over .08. He was booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department and his vehicle was also impounded.

Incidents:

Osseo Police responded to an intrusion alarm on the 300 block of Sixth Ave. N.E. on July 30. The alarm was accidentally set off by employees. No problems were found.

On Aug. 2 Osseo Police responded to an intrusion alarm at a business on the 400 block of Third Street S.E. The building was locked and no problems were found.

Osseo Police responded to an open door of a vacant home on the 200 block of Eighth Ave. S.E. Police searched the home and closed the door. No problems were found.

Osseo Police responded to a damage to property report on Aug. 7 on the 200 block of Sixth Ave. N.E. The reporting party said somebody had cut protective netting around his grapevines. There are no suspects.

Osseo Police responded to a physiological issue on 400 block of Third Street S.E. on Aug. 7. Police were able to assist and resolve the situation without incident. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to an intrusion alarm at a business on the 200 block of Central Ave. on Aug. 8. The front door to the business was found unlocked. The interior of the business was searched and no problems were found. The key holder responded and locked the business.

Juvenile incidents:

Osseo Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Second Ave. N.W. on Aug. 1 for a report of several juveniles on the roof of a building. The juveniles were located and detained. The incident has been forwarded to juvenile court.

Osseo Police responded to the 200 block of Fourth Ave. N.E. on a report of juvenile’s tipping over garbage cans on Aug. 4. The suspects were located and released to adults after they picked the cans up.

Medicals:

Osseo Police responded to a report of an 87-year-old female unconscious on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. on July 30. The patient was alert and conscious upon arrival. North paramedics provided medical care.

Osseo Police responded to a report of a 58-year-old man having a possible heart attack on the 200 block of Third Ave. S.E. on July 31. The patient was transported to North Memorial hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to the 50 block of Sixth Street N.E. on Aug. 1 for a report of a 77-year-old female that fell down. The patient was transported to North Memorial hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to the 200 block of Third Ave. S.E. on Aug. 4 for a report of a 58-year-old male having a possible heart attack. The patient was transported to North Memorial hospital in Maple Grove by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a report of ill person on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. on Aug. 5. The 67-year-old patent was transported to North Memorial hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an 84-year-old female having a possible heart attack on Aug. 9 on the 50 block of Sixth Street N.W. The patient was transported to North Memorial hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Accidents:

A property damage accident was reported on Aug. 2 on the 600 block of Sixth Ave. N.E. The driver of vehicle 1 was attempting to park in a parking space and struck the right rear and side of vehicle number 2. A state accident report was filed.

A two-car property damage accident was reported on Aug. 6 on 93rd Ave. at Hwy. 169. Both drivers exchanged information and a state accident report was filed. Moderate damage was reported to both vehicles. There are no charges pending.
