THROUGH OCTOBER — The Hamel Lions Flea Market will be open every Sunday from 6 a.m. through noon in the parking lot at the Medina Entertainment Center, 500 Highway 55, Medina. DHS Class of 1992 reunion
AUG. 17 & 18 — The Delano High School Class of 1992 will hold its reunion Friday, Aug. 17 and Saturday, Aug. 18. Friday activities include a social at Dave’s Town Club on River Street from 5 to 7 p.m. and a casual dinner at the Jukebox Restaurant on Bridge Avenue from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday events will include a school tour from 10:30 a.m. to noon and family time from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lake Rebecca. The Medina Entertainment Center, 500 Hwy. 55 in Medina will be the place for Saturday’s social hour at 6 p.m., appetizers at 6:30 p.m. and dance at 8:30 p.m. Cost is $35 per person. Montrose 5K run/ walk
AUG. 18 — In conjunction with Montrose Celebration Days, a 5K run/walk will take place in Montrose, at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. The event will begin and end at the tennis court, located five blocks north of Red’s Cafe. The race is free, no registration required. Water and snacks will be available along with an optional massage at the end of the race. Experienced runners, 5K first-timers, families and people of all ages can participate at their own pace. Baby strollers are welcome, as are handicap/wheelchair participants. Prizes for all children and drawings for prizes for everyone will be available. Back to School Trivia Night
AUG. 28 — A Back to School Trivia Night, Tuesday, Aug. 28, will benefit the Vote YES Committee, which is working to educate residents about this fall’s operating levy referendum for Delano Public Schools. Delano Lanes and Entertainment, 429 Babcock Blvd. E. in Delano, will be the scene of activities, including a 6 p.m. taco bar, 6:30 p.m. trivia competition and 8 p.m. musical entertainment by Pocket of Soup.
