‘Sen. Kruse is not your typical politician’

To the Editor:

As we get closer to Election Day, I would like to make a couple of comments. First, I have gotten to know Senator Ben Kruse over the last couple of years and he is not your typical politician. He is truly a man of integrity and does what he says he will do. The second comment is about our state budget, which is very important. In less than eighteen months we went from $6.2 billion in debt to a $1.2 billion surplus without raising taxes. This happened with the hard work of Ben Kruse, proving he is a man of his word.

Sen. Kruse is a dedicated education advocate

To the Editor:

I had the privilege of meeting Sen. Ben Kruse early in his campaign this year. I took note of his agenda and his ideas for the Champlin-Dayton residents. I like his advancement of the land grant trust reforms to fund education in Anoka-Hennepin School District 11. His reforms add potentially thousands of new funding dollars to our school district.

I like the legislative bill Sen. Kruse introduced which promotes literacy by third grade and brings performance based funding increases to our district as well. He also authored a bonding bill for Anoka-Ramsey and North Hennepin Community colleges.

I give Sen. Kruse credit for being interested in our children’s futures. He has proven to be a dedicated education advocate.
