Arrests & citations
On July 25, at 3:48 p.m. on the 1100 block of Settlers Road, Terencio Jefferies, 33 of Atlanta, Ga., and Xzavion Walton, 23, of Memphis, Tenn., were arrested for soliciting and not having a city permit. They were transported to the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center.
On July 25, at 11:57 p.m. at Hwy. 55 and Sioux Drive, Jay Anderson, 19 of Loretto was arrested for DWI- suspicion of under the influence. Charges pending the results of DWI drug testing.
On July 26, at 8:32 p.m. on the 200 block of Meadowvie Lane, Joseph Keller, 30 of Lake Charles, La., was arrested for soliciting. Keller was able to post bail and was released.
On July 27, at 12:52 a.m. on the 4400 block of Maple Street, Marcia Whelen, 54 of New Hope was arrested for DWI- suspicion of under the influence. Charges pending results of testing.
On July 28, at 4:40 p.m. on the 200 block of Meadowview Lane, Abdullahi Mumin, 18, of San Diego, Calif., was arrested for soliciting without a permit. He was transported to the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center.
On July 29, at 1:35 p.m. on the 3800 block of Linden Drive W., there was a report of a burglary. Jewelry, valued at $20,000, was taken.
On July 24, at 8:34 p.m. on the 600 block of Hamel Road, there was a report of a refrigerator standing on the side of the road. Individual was concerned that child could crawl inside the refrigerator and be trapped inside if it tips over. The refrigerator was tipped on its side to prevent a child from crawling inside.
On July 24, at 9 p.m. on the 3100 block of Hunter Drive, there was a report of a porta-potty tipped over at Hunter Park. There was no other damage to anything else around the porta-potty. Public Works will be advised to contact the company to have it cleaned up.
On July 25, at 7:17 a.m. on the 1600 block of Prairie Drive, there was a report of a vehicle opened without incident.

On July 25, at 11:19 a.m. on the 3900 block of Arrowhead Drive, there was a report of a vehicle opened without incident.
On July 25, at 11:58 a.m. on the 300 block of Clydesdale Trail, there was a report of children left in a vehicle in the Target parking lot. The temperature out was in the 90s. Located the vehicle and one parent was present in the vehicle. She did say she ran into Target to use the restroom while her husband was shopping. There were five children in the truck for approximately 10 minutes. The truck was running with the air conditioning on. The oldest of the children was 13 years old. All appeared to be ok.
On July 25, at 3:03 p.m. at Holy Name Park, it was reported that juveniles were driving an ATV with tracks in Holy Name Park. The driver was advised that ATVs are not allowed in the parks and he apologized and drove it to his residence down the street.
On July 27, at 11:05 a.m. on the 1500 block of Medina Road, there was a report of a suspicious male walking on the property. Male was not located.
On July 27, at 12:47 p.m. on the 300 block of Clydesdale Trail, an individual reported that a male and female were standing in the parking lot arguing. As the officer approached, the two were talking. Officer explained why he was confronting them. They both laughed and said they had met here to talk. Both denied arguing about anything. They said everything was ok. They then both got onto the motorcycle and drove away from the area.
On July 28, at 8:55 a.m. in Loretto, there was a report of several street signs pushed over damaging the posts.
On July 29, at 1:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Lorenz Street, a business owner received a missed call on his cell phone from his business, however, no one should have been at the business at the time the call was placed. It is believed it came from his ex-girlfriend who may have entered the business.
