Dayton residents to vote on three races in 2012 primaries

Polls will be open in Dayton for the 2012 Primary Election Tuesday, Aug. 14 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Dayton voters will be asked to narrow down the candidates for the two open seats on Dayton City Council. The seven candidates in the primary include incumbent Phil Forseth, Hilmer Hartman, James Jadwin, Jerry Jordan, Eric Lucero, Charles Rickart and Scott Salonek.

They will also be asked to vote on a Three Rivers Park District Board of Commissioners — District Two commissioner. Candidates are incumbent Marilynn Corcoran, Jennifer DeJournett and Richard Theisen.

On the national front, voters will be asked to vote for their Republican candidate for the 3rd Congressional District. Candidates are John Howard III and incumbent Erik Paulsen.

The polling locations for the City of Dayton Primary and General Election shall be held at the established polling locations of the City:

PRECINCT 3: Dayton Elementary School, 12000
