Class investigates science from playgrounds to amusement parks

Champlin Park and Recreation will offer a Science Explorers class for youth age 7 to 12 years old. The class will explore the amazing science of amusement parks and how the local playground inspired many of their spine-tingling rides.

Students will build and experiment with roller coasters 4 feet high exploring physics with K’NEX building systems and other building materials.

Class will be held at the Champlin Ice Forum Monday through Thursday, Aug. 13 to 16 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $62 for residents and $67 for non-residents.
