West Hennepin Public Safety
The following incidents were reported by West Hennepin Public Safety between July 8 and July 14.
On July 12, at 5:40 a.m. there was a report of a theft of a Craftsman 2 wheel, 4HP, 25-gallon air compressor from the 6700 block of County Road 11. Description: Red in color, approximately 30 ft of red air hose, Serial # 919.15290 Model # KK-5054. The original red pet cock valve on the bottom of the tank was replaced with a brass one. Approximate loss $400. Case under investigation.
On July 13, at 6:11 a.m. a motorist called 9-1-1 stating he was in a vehicle at Valley Road and Highway 12 and his wife was in labor with contractions two to three minutes apart. WHPS was assisted by Maple Plain Rescue and North Memorial Ambulance arrived and transferred his wife to Methodist Hospital.
On July 8, at 8:49 p.m. a motorist found an older female chocolate lab on County Road 19 and near County Road 6, took the dog home and called police to assist with locating the owner. The animal owner was located and it was found the dog had been picked up in front of its house.
On July 10, at 11:27 p.m. a 16-year-old male from Mound and 15-year-old male from Minnetrista were found smoking marijuana in the bathroom at Rainbow Park, 1500 block of Golden Ave. Both were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Their parents were contacted and picked them up.
On July 13, at 8:44 a.m. there was a report that someone shot out the outside lights on the north and west sides of a building on the 5100 block of Industrial St.
On July 14, at 8:50 a.m. a construction company was digging to replace a line, struck a “1″ gas main line in the area of Hwy. 12 and Budd Avenue. Maple Plain Fire tested the area with their gas meters and found that no evacuation of the area was needed.
