Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office
The following public safety summary information from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit is provided to residents as a public service. These highlights from July 16 to July 22, 2012, do not reflect all incidents handled or investigated by the HCSO during this time period.
In addition to the law enforcement services it provides throughout the county, the HCSO provides primary patrol services for the communities of Hassan Township, Greenfield, Medicine Lake and Fort Snelling, as well as the Hennepin County portions of Hanover and Rockford.
On July 18, deputies responded to an address on the 18200 block of Diamond Lake Court to assist Dayton PD with a residential alarm. Deputy checked residence, it appeared all secured. No other action needed.
On July 20, deputies responded to an address on the 400 block of York Drive to assist Dayton PD with a welfare check. A female called and stated her young children called and concerned that their father, whom they were staying with had been drinking. Dayton PD spoke with all parties and decided no further action was needed. No action taken.
On July 19, deputies responded to a business on the 7500 block of Hwy. 55 for a theft report. A male had put gas into his vehicle, purchased items in the store but failed to pay for the gas. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is following up on this incident. Loss is estimated at $53.02.
On July 20, deputies responded to an address on the 6900 block of Rebecca Park Trail for a theft report. A female called to report an outbuilding they use to store their boat and others boats had several thefts. She stated someone had taken several radios from several of the boats. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is following up on the incident.
On July 21, deputies responded to a business on the 7500 block of Hwy. 55 for a theft report. Someone had put gas into their vehicle and left without paying. The plate given by employee did not match the description of the vehicle. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Detective is investigating the incident. Loss estimated at $60.05.
During the week of July 16 to July 22, 2012, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies also issued or provided: 16 citations, 10 written/verbal warnings, four motorist assists and two property damage accidents.
