Hamel Lions Flea Market

THROUGH OCTOBER — The Hamel Lions Flea Market will be open every Sunday from 6 a.m. through noon in the parking lot at the Medina Entertainment Center, 500 Highway 55, Medina. Visitors can shop for antiques, collectables, crafts, plants, produce and more. A farmer’s market will be offered in the fall. Space is available to vendors on a first come/first served basis. Delano Relay for Life

JULY 27 — Delano Relay for Life activities will begin at 4:30 p.m.,Friday, July 27, at Delano Central Park. Opening ceremonies are set for 6:30 p.m. and lighting of luminary bags is planned for 9:30 p.m. The public is invited to participate in Relay laps, watch special ceremonies and partake of food, games and entertainment.

Pancake breakfast to benefit CROSS

JULY 28 — Malone’s Bar & Grill is hosting a pancake breakfast to benefit CROSS Food Shelf Saturday, July 28, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The suggested donation is $8 per person, which includes breakfast and a beverage. Join in at Malone’s for breakfast and help CROSS Food Shelf, which serves Maple Grove, Osseo, west Champlin, Rogers, Dayton and Corcoran.

Dakota Wild Animals

JULY 31 — The Delano Public Library, 160 Railroad Ave. E., will host Dakota Wild Animals Tuesday, July 31, from 1 to 2 p.m. Here is a chance to have hands-on encounters with reptiles and mammals in a safe environment. For information, call the library at 763-972-3467.

Taste of Delano

AUG. 1 — The Taste of Delano is returning to Delano Central Park from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1. Area restaurants and chefs will offer samples of signature dishes at this rain or shine event. Family entertainment will be available. Advance tickets cost $7 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. Ticket prices the day of the event will be $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.

Wright County Fair

AUG. 1 TO 5 — The Wright County Fair will return to the Wright County Fair Grounds in Howard Lake Wednesday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 5.

AUG. 5 — The annual Schaust/Pogreba family reunion will begin at noon Sunday, Aug. 5, at Delano Central Park. All family descendents are encouraged to spread the word and attend.

DHS Rummage Sale

AUG. 6, 7 & 8 — Delano High School will host a rummage sale from Monday, August 6 through Wednesday, August 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Items can be dropped on at the school on Saturdays July 28 and August 4.

Look Good…Feel Better

AUG. 8 — Look Good…Feel Better is a free service which teaches people, as a cancer patient, beauty techniques to help enhance their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments. This class will be Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. Any woman currently undergoing or is about to undergo cancer treatment is invited to attend. Concert in Park

Aug. 8 — Delano’s Concert in the Park Wednesday, Aug. 8, will feature Rhonda Laurie and Twin Cities Hot Club. Rhonda takes listeners on a musical journey through standard jazz, blues, bebop, gypsy swing, cabaret and pops. The performance will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Delano Central Park gazebo. In event of rain, the concert will take place in the Delano Middle School auditorium.

Delano city-wide garage sale

AUG. 9 TO 11 — People who love to shop for bargains will want to check out Delano’s citywide garage sale, set for Thursday, Aug. 9 through Saturday, Aug. 11. Community organizations, residents and businesses all over the city will host sales.

Tweens and Teens Craft Day

AUG. 9 — The Delano Public Library, 160 Railroad Ave. E., will offer a Tweens and Teens Craft Day Thursday, Aug. 9. Try beading, making fancy bookmarks or creating a decoupage candleholder.
