Lions Tractor Pull
JUNE 2 – The Corcoran Lions Club Tractor Pull is Saturday, June 2, at 7 p.m. at Corcoran Lions Park. Beer on ground, no coolers allowed. Free parking. More than $3,200 paid out in prizes. Admission is $10 for ages 12 and up, $5 for 4 to 11, and 3 and under free. For more information, go to corcoranlions.com. Lions Park is located at County Rd. 101 and County Rd. 10 (Bass Lake Road) 5 miles west on County Rd. 10 from Interstate 94.
Girl Scouts garage sale
JUNE 2 – The Crow River Girl Scouts are hosting a multi troop garage sale at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday June 2. The selection will be vast with more than 40 families participating. Books, toys, clothing, and household items will be in great supply. Proceeds from the sale will be used for future Girl Scout activities and programs.

JUNE 6 – The 2nd Annual Baccalaureate Ceremony for all graduating Seniors of Rogers High School will be Wednesday, June 6, at 7 p.m. at Christ Church in Otsego. Baccalaureate 2012 will be a Christian, interdenominational farewell service that will include music, readings, prayers and guest speakers. JUNE 7 – Graduation ceremonies for Dist. 728′s approximately 904 currently enrolled seniors are scheduled the first week of June. The ceremony for Rogers High School (312 currently enrolled seniors), is Thursday, June 7, 7 p.m. in the Field House (763-274-3140). As each school has different logistical requirements, call the schools prior to the ceremony for ticket information.
Hockey pork chop dinner
JUNE 8 – The STMA Boys High School Hockey Blue Line Club will be hosting a pork chop dinner fundraiser during Albertville Friendly City Days. The dinner will be held Friday, June 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Albertville Lions Shelter. Proceeds from the dinner benefit the STMA Boys High School Hockey team. Come and join for a great dinner and support the team.
JUNE 8 – St. Michael-Albertville Senior High School Class of 2012 Commencement Ceremony will be Friday, June 8, at 7:30 p.m. The ceremony will be in the high school gymnasium. Approximately 325 students will receive their diploma during the formal ceremony. The graduation program will include music selections by the STMA Wind Ensemble Band and Concert Choir and the recognition of the honor graduates. Tickets are required to attend the commencement ceremony. There are no reserved seats. Seating will begin at 7 p.m.
JUNE 8 – Buffalo High School will host its 2012 commencement exercises Friday, June 8, at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. Approximately 450 students will graduate as members of the Class of 2012. Highlights of the graduation ceremony will include: recognition of honor graduates, international exchange students, student speakers and music by the Concert Band and Concert Choir. In addition, $79,780 will be awarded in scholarships. An admittance ticket is required for parents and friends wishing to be seated in the main gymnasium. Anyone else is welcomed to view the graduation in the Performing Arts Center on closed circuit television. Following commencement, Buffalo High School parents will host the annual "All Night Graduation Party" for the graduates at Buffalo High School.

JUNE 16 – The Sherlyn Anderson Benefit … "Pink Night" will be Wednesday, June 16, from 4 to 9 p.m., at the St. Michael American Legion."Pink Night" will feature music, silent auctions, raffles, and other chances to win great prizes. Last year Sherlyn was diagnosed with Stage-3 Breast cancer. Over the past several months she has undergone a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment. Community Art Festival
JUNE 16 – The Elk River Community Art Festival is Saturday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. in downtown Elk River. This annual festival is a free, fun, family-friendly day that features art, live music, food, dance and theater. The event will include Art Sales Booths with painting, glass, jewelry, pottery and more. A community art tent with children’s activities, book readings and signings and dance demonstrations. Buffalo Run 5K
JUNE 17 – Grab a dad and sign-up today for the Buffalo Run 5k and Kids’ Fun run on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17. Registration for the Buffalo Run 5k is $25 ($30 race day) and for the Kids Fun Run it is $10 ($12 race day) is now open. The registration is online at www.buffalocommunityed.com; follow the instructions on the page to register. Race day registration will be available beginning at 7:30 a.m. in Sturges Park. On Sunday, June 17, at 8:30 a.m. participants in the 5k will begin in Sturgis Park, run along the banks of Buffalo Lake and return back to the park where refreshments will be waiting. All 5k participants will receive a T-shirt. Prizes for the 5k will be given to the top three finishers in each age bracket (19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+). The Kids’ Fun Run will be a shorter version of the same route once the last 5k participant crosses the finish line. Their run will feature two age groups – ages 6 and under, 1/4 mile run; and ages 7-12, 1 mile run. Prizes will be awarded to the top girl and boy in each age group for the Kids’ Fun Run, and all participants will receive a T-shirt and goodie bag. Eggert Memorial Ride
JUNE 23 – The second annual Rockin’ Rogers Days Dean Eggert Memorial Ride is Saturday, June 23. Dean was a very active member of the Rogers Lions Club and the community of Rogers and St. Michael. Dean was an avid rider and Harley enthusiast. Dean’s sons Jeffrey and Brandon will be leading the ride. At the conclusion of the ride will be lunch (under the big tent) at the Rogers Community Center. All bikes and bikers welcome. Check in starts at 8:30 a.m. Group photo at 9:45 a.m. Kick stands up at 10. Rain, make up date Sunday, June 24. Meet at the Rogers Community Center under the big tent. Cost of $20 per rider includes lunch and t-shirt. Bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Cross Food Shelf. All proceeds donated to the CROSS Food Shelf.
