Home Base Theatre seeks MGSH current, alumni for upcoming theatre auditions

Home Base Theatre announces auditions for "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" to be staged July 11-21. Home Base Theatre is an organization in its second year, offering theater performance opportunities for Maple Grove Senior High alumni and current theatre students.

Joining the Home Base Theatre family for this summer’s production is Mary Fox, an actor, director & musician. Fox graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2005 with a BFA in musical theatre. She moved to New York City where she worked with Michael Ian Black on the Comedy Central show "Stella," as well as performing at the 78th Street Theatre Lab and Manhattan Theatre Source. Now residing in Minneapolis, Fox does frequent work with Yellow Tree Theatre, in Osseo, and most recently starred in Theatre Latte Da’s production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."

Auditions are open to any Maple Grove Senior High alumni, and any current Maple Grove Senior High theatre performers. Auditioners are asked to bring a professional headshot, actor’s resume and calendar with conflicts. They are also asked to prepare a 16-32 bar vocal excerpt and a one-minute comedic monologue. An accompanist will be provided.

Auditions are Friday, June 1 at 4 p.m. Callbacks will be Saturday, June 2 from 4 to 10 p.m.
