‘The Music Man’ runs through Saturday

One of the best-known and loved American musicals comes to life on the stage at the Rockford High School for three remaining dates (July 12, 13 and 14) at 7 p.m.

This adaptation features all the music of the award winning stage show while showcasing the talents of local actors and musicians. Appropriate for all ages, this show is a sheer delight for those both familiar with it, and for those who have yet to see it. You will leave tapping your toes and trying to imagine what "76 trombones" would really look, and sound, like in a big parade.

This production is offered through 4 Community Theatre, a local community theater organization that encourages participation by cast members of all ages, and which promotes a quality theater experience. The group originated Rockford – now partners with the school districts of Rockford, Delano and Orone – and has grown, in its 15th season, to include participants from all over the metro area.

Tickets can be purchased at the door. Expect a night of music and magic.
