Beginning Monday, July 9, motorists are encountering single-lane traffic on sections of northbound Hwy. 169 between Hwy 10. and Sherburne County Rd. 33 in Elk River.
All lane closures will occur during non-rush hours and are scheduled to be complete by early August.
The closures are needed as crews begin resurfacing and repairing both directions of Hwy. 169 between Hwy. 10 in Elk River and 261st Avenue/Sherburne County Rd. 4 in Zimmerman.
Motorists should also expect non-rush hour lane and ramp closures on both directions of Hwy. 169 between Elk River and Zimmerman through mid-October.
When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride, improved drainage, reduced short-term maintenance costs and improved pedestrian accommodations to meet modern accessibility standards at four intersections in Elk River.
