The city of Maple Grove’s Election Staff will be available during the Maple Grove Days Business Expo Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Maple Grove Community Center to assist residents with their election questions. People can take a minute to stop by and let the staff help identify a new polling location.
As a result of congressional and legislative redistricting completed by the state of Minnesota early in 2012, Maple Grove’s boundaries and polling locations have changed. Most residents will experience a change in their polling place. All current registered voters should have received a Notification Card from Hennepin County with their new precinct and polling place information.
In addition, the city will provide all households with additional election information including a map outlining 2012 polling locations and boundaries.
Maple Grove continues to have 23 polling locations, but there a few polling sites that have been eliminated and a few new sites included. New to Maple Grove’s polling locations are Maple Grove Lutheran Church, Maple Grove Public Works Facility and an additional site at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
The city wants residents to be prepared for the 2012 election. If people have any questions related to the election process, call the Election Line at 763-494-6498. The city’s election headquarters is staffed to assist residents Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. People may also visit the website at maplegrovemn.gov or sos.state.mn.us. Both sites will provide residents with information on their new polling location as well as additional voting information.
Don’t forget. Election Staff will be available during the Maple Grove Days Business Expo at the Maple Grove Community Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 14, to assist residents with their election questions. Staff is encouraging residents take a minute in their busy day to let the city help residents identify their new polling location.
