STMA golfer competes at state


(June 12-13) Junior Kylie Slavin finished tied for 73rd in the Class 3A girls’ state golf tournament played at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids.

Slavin, who last month became the first girls’ golfer for STMA to qualify for state, carded a 99-92-191 against a strong field at Bunker Hills.

Winning the team title, New Prague shot 333-328-661 to finish in front of Stillwater (344-325-669) and Wayzata (340-330-670).

Taking medalist honors was Cretin Derham Hall’s Celia Kuenster, a sophomore, shooting 72-69-141.

New Prague’s McKenzie Neisen, also a sophomore was second at 69-74-143.
