The Central Committee of the new Senate District 33 DFL met June 13 and endorsed Judy Rogosheske of Orono, candidate for Minnesota State Senate.
The new Senate District 33 includes Corcoran, Greenfield, Independence, Long Lake, Loretto, Maple Plain, Medina, Minnetrista, Orono, St. Bonifacius and Wayzata, Mound, Excelsior, Shorewood, Deephaven, Tonka Bay, Spring Park, Minnetonka Beach, Greenwood and parts of Chanhassen.
Rogosheske, a graduate of the University of Minnesota and its law school, practiced in the area of Public Finance and Securities law for over 30 years. Since retiring from her practice, she has trained in hospice care, volunteering at North Memorial Hospital and with her own parents.
This past year she served as an adjunct professor at St. Mary’s University, teaching Ethics and Public Policy in the graduate program for Health and Human Services Administrators. Sheserved on the board and as President of the Hennepin County Bar Foundation from 2002 to 2006, and is an Elder at her church, Calvin Presbyterian Church of Orono in Long Lake.
She and her husband, George Funk, have lived in their home in Orono for 30 years. They have one son, Henry, a recent college graduate.
